SUMMER INTERSESSION REGISTRATION
Summer Intersession registration is for children in the Flemington-Raritan School District, grades K-5. We also offer a program for 4-year-olds called “Fun at Four.”
Registration opens on February 26, 2024, and closes on May 31, 2024. Select your preferred location to register:
Barley Sheaf AM/PM Registration -CLOSED
Copper Hill AM/PM Registration - CLOSED
Register early – programs fill up fast. If a location reaches capacity prior to the registration deadline, you will not be able to sign up for that location.
CAMP RULES
- Camps operate RAIN or SHINE!
- Pick up times are 12 Noon for the AM Program. 5 p.m. for the PM Program. Please be prompt.
- You MUST get out of your car for pickup and drop off. We cannot permit children to cross into the parking lots unescorted.
- For your child’s safety, please have them wear sneakers rather than shower shoes or sandals. The wearing of inadequate footwear will exclude your child from running activities.
- Please discourage your child from bringing expensive personal items to the program. We will not be responsible if these items are lost, stolen, or damaged.
CAMP PROGRAM DETAILS
AM Session Details
AM camp is supervised by an experienced teacher/adult along with college and high school age counselors, many of whom have worked with the program previously and/or are studying childhood education.
Campers are assigned to small groups by the grade they completed the previous school year. The program includes water activities, large group games, board games, arts and craft, theme days, and more. The program is non-sequential – no worries if your child misses a day or two; they’ll be able to jump back in!
PM Session Details
The PM session offers the same quality childcare as the AM session.
Lunch is not provided – children need to bring their own food and drink for lunch.
Activities include afternoon snack, movies, reading club, writing time, and more. Campers bring their own books; non-readers will be read to.
Fun at Four Details
This is a quality preschool summer program limited to 25 children and taught by Ms. Lisa Hutchinson, a 2nd Grade Teacher at Copper Hill. Ms. Hutchinson is assisted by counselors and junior counselors. Songs, poetry, stories, children’s creative art, and free play will be incorporated each day. Special activities will include drama, puppetry, hands-on science, nature, and gardening. Fun at Four participants are physically separated from the other campers unless joint activities are planned.
Children must be 4 years old by June 29, 2024. NO EXCEPTIONS.
